Baby Adam

Today I had the joy of photographing my new 2nd cousin Adam (could be 1st cousins once removed, not sure)! Baby Adam was born March 2, 2009 weighing 7 lb. 6 oz. and 20" long. This was the first time I have photographed a baby this young (5 days old!), and thankfully, while his mom took a much needed nap, he stayed quietly asleep (just cried a few time) for his photo-shoot. Dad was a huge help, and Adam was a superstar! Here are a few of my favorites...

My Printable DVDs

I just finished printing my very first custom designed DVD! This is not a sticker but an actually image printed directly onto the DVD! Thanks to the people at Epson, you can actually do that (am I too excited about this?). Now I just need to figure out what type of DVD case to use...

What I did this weekend in pictures

Since I haven't done many shoots lately (winter is a photographer dead season) I decided to post some artistic interpretations of what I did this weekend...

In addition to birthday calibrations and domestic duties Todd and I did have time to celibate a nice Valentines day!! I hope everyone else enjoyed their long weekend!

I have a Website!!

Yes, it has been a long time coming, but I finally have a website! I have been a nervous wreck about this whole thing, launching my site and setting my prices (eeek!). Now its market the heck out of myself time and get lots of business :-) The website still needs a bit of work and some text sections need to be added, but I couldn't hide it any longer... Feel free to give suggestions and let me know what all my grammatical errors are (mom, I know you will!!). Don't forget to send my website to everyone you know and tell them how great I am (wink wink)! Thank you to everyone who has been following my blog and supporting me. You guys Rock! A New Year

So its a new year... well 1 month down, but who's counting? First, let me give you the run down on what I have been up to in the past two weeks...
1)I got LASIK surgery on Thursday... can still see, still recovering, ask me in 3 months if it was worth it ;-)
2) Went to a huge photographer get together put on by Armin Defiesta which was AWESOME!
3) Went to Sarasota, FL on a 1 day business trip and missed seeing Bruce Springsteen by a few hours!! (Bummer, I know, but I did get to stay at the Ritz Carlton, fancy...)

Next I wanted to write down a few of my Goals for 2009...
1) Book and shoot 35 paid Portrait sessions- a bit lofty but I think I can do it
2) Second Shoot for 15 weddings (I can count on all my new photographer friends to help me out with this, right?!!)
3) Shoot 5 of my own weddings
4) Become an official LLC (Done!), Get official business cards (Done!), and get my website up(almost done, within the next week!)...
5) Make lots of new photographer friends (working on it!)

I only have 11 months to go, but I know with the help of my devoted readers and a little (I mean lot) of elbow grease, it can happen!
