Two weeks ago I attended David Williams' "Almost Alone" workshop in Niantic Connecticut and it was hands down the best investment I have made in my business so far. Not only did I learn a lot about photography techniques, photoshop and album design, but my whole perspective on photography changed. David really emphasized the importance of what photographers do, capturing images for families that can be cherished by that family long after the people in those photos have passed away. Although I have memories of my grandmother that I keep inside me, its the pictures that I have of her and me that trigger those memories. I feel inspired and excited to master my craft and deliver my clients meaningful, emotional, beautiful images.
One of my assignments was to go home and photograph pieces of my living room. Below are some pieces of my life and some things that make up the space that I spend a lot of my time.
This represents the biggest accomplishment of my life (so far :-).
My favorite photo ever, and my first canvas.
This was my grandmothers and right now houses my VHS collection (yes I still have those!).
My favorite vase that I got for my wedding.
I made these when I first moved into my home (I know, I'm not much of a painter ;-).
Yes, My family LOVES media!

I love how you took these pictures! We also have most of things in our house too...rock band, mac, tv controls! Who did those paintings? They're great!
